Tampa Bay Karate..."Kick for Success" is a 501(c)(3) not for profit, faith based karate school located just north of Sligh avenue on 56th street in Tampa, Florida. We are open to serve children in the Hillsborough County area. We offer several programs such as FREE classes EVERY Saturday from 11am-12pm as part of our community outreach, after school pick up with tutoring and homework assistance, summer camp and karate classes! Our focus is on providing services to children that are considered "at risk" and families that are both economically and environmentally disadvantaged.
We work closely with and get support from a variety of agencies such as the Hillsborough County school district, parent volunteers, local businesses and organizations. Agencies that support us are: DCF, DACCO, ACTS, All People's Life Center, Tampa Workforce Center, Classical Conversations home school program, Salvation Army, Boys and Girls Club of Tampa, and Sydney School of Autism and community churches such as Bethel Assembly of God and Miracle of God Faith Healing Gospel Church. We are currently listed with the Children's Home Kinship (ASO) program, DCF and School Readiness Program for after school programs and take referrals from all agencies. Tampa Bay Tang Soo Do Karate for Christ is eligible to receive Title XX funds for the summer camp program.
